Daniel Asater

Daniel Abd El Sater (Asater) is a Lebanese photographer based between Madrid and Dubai. Born in Beirut, he studied graphic design before completing a master’s degree in art direction in Paris. His practice moves between landscape, human presence and cinematic observation, shaped by the cities and coastlines he has lived in and travelled through.

Working across personal, editorial and commissioned photography, Asater has contributed to publications including Vogue Arabia, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia and Condé Nast Traveller. His photographs explore Mediterranean light, sensuality and the quiet theatre of everyday life, often revealing connections between the body, architecture and the natural landscape.

In 2024, he presented his solo exhibition, Float in Symmetry, at NoCK Beirut. Asater Still is the ongoing home of his personal photographic practice, an evolving collection of images created across the Mediterranean, Japan and northern Europe, and presented as archival fine-art prints.
